Well, folks, you did it... the garden is in (minus a few more plantings of corn). The pumpkins were planted this morning at theWheatley garden and the melons were planted at the Pace garden this past week. Another several rows of corn was also planted today. Now, we get to weed and weed and weed! Doesn't that sound like fun? To be honest, it IS fun when we have each other to talk to while we are doing it!
The peas are just about ready so either this coming week or the next we will have our first "little" harvest of peas. So, it has started! Remember that if you don't have all of your monies paid in full (garden fee plus the $3 harvest basket fee), you won't be able to partake of the harvest, so if you are still in need of getting the monies paid, please do so soon!
Here are some pictures of the Wheatley garden from this morning and I plan on going over this afternoon and taking pictures of the other gardens and will post them too this weekend.
