I wanted to introduce you to one of my favorite blogs... "Old World Gardens":

I follow a lot of blogs, but for some reason, I learn more from this one than any of the other ones (well, besides one other which I will share with you later).... This is a couple who bought a three acre plot of land in Ohio that was covered with trees and poison ivy. You need to read their story:

It is wonderful -- how they purchased this land so that they could simplify life. I still am not sure how they simplify life by doing this because they both are career professionals and this land / garden is in addition to that, but I love their story and I love how much I have learned by following it. I know I'll be posting things from them often, but if you want to follow them separately, there is a place on their blog to sign up to do so.
Anyway, thought you would enjoy their post this morning -- it is on growing herbs, which we hope all of you will try at LEAST one herb this year in your kitchen window, in your backyard, or wherever. We hope to teach you how to dry them and preserve them for use all winter long.
So, enjoy this fun blog... and hoping for warmer temps today!
Susan
